General purpose non-asbestos used in many applications. Plaited from yarn produced by blending fibres of oxidised polycrylonitrile with aramid. Throughly impregnated and coated with PTFE plus additional lubricant, which gives excellent resistance against chemical attack and provides low surface friction with high impermeability.
